Shoe Sculptor: Kei Kagami

One of my favourite shoe designers ever – creating magical sculptures, which appear closer to Art than walking equipment – Kei Kagami has been designing his brand of shoe for 10 years now.

Having trained in Architecture, I am so happy that Kei Kagami decided to focus on shoe design and fashion. Each one is a little wonder to behold.

The shoe on the left reminds me a little of 18th century shoes worn with ‘pattens’ but taken in to a dark future style.

These were on sale a couple of years ago in Selfridges, but Kagami's design are actually difficult to find on sale.

I first found Kei’s work at a Selfridge’s exhibit (the 3 top pictures are from the display). The design is so fresh and exciting to me, I think it’s just glorious.

If you’re looking to buy, I found a link to 2 pairs here;http://www.solestruck.com/kei-kagami-womens-shoes/
