Lollipop at the V & A

Who knew Lolita style in it’s many guises would prove such a crowd pleaser at the V&A late session, Friday evening. This gorgeous museum was very full and buzzing from beginning to end.

Lots of Lolita enthusiasts came splendidly decked in flounces and furbelows and the Lolita curious came too, with cameras in hand. It was a positive atmosphere.

Angelic Pretty supplied all the Sweet Lolita style dresses for the V and A staff.

I am wearing: shoes – Emma Cook for Topshop; Bag/Lilac Stockings – vintage; Dress and Tulle Hat – Lucy February.

There were DJ’s, all kinds of lectures and workshops; just oodles of things: Jewellery making, Wigs to try on, Nail Wrapping, Panel Discussions, short films and a showing of Kamikaze Girls – which is such a wonderful film.

One of the Harajuku looks on display.

Gothic Lolita.
